Event Description
Robot Ruckus returns to Maker Faire Orlando 2022 on November 5th and 6th!
All open registration weightclasses will be full combat, with the exception of the 30lb Sportsman class. Insect weightclasses will be double-elimination and use the SPARC ruleset. 12s, 30s, and 30SC will be a pools fight format using the SPARC ruleset. Tournament and match guidelines and procedures will be sent to all registrants closer to the event date.
We will not be having an official tournament for heavyweight(250lb) sportsman, but we do have space for exhibition matches!
Entry fees are $20 for all weighclasses! Due to time and space constraints, a builder/driver may only enter ONE robot per weightclass, and can only compete in either the insect weightclasses or the bigger weightclasses. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
Robot Ruckus will be run in conjunction with Maker Faire Orlando (http://www.makerfaireorlando.com/) at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. Teams will be provided with entry to Maker Faire Orlando. Check in will be in the afternoon/evening Friday November 4th, with limited check-in Saturday morning. ALL ROBOTS MUST PASS SAFETY NO LATER THAN 9AM SATURDAY MORNING.
Volunteers to help setup/tear-down the arenas on the days before are greatly appreciated, as are volunteers to help keep the event running!
