Event Description
Robot Ruckus is BACK at Maker Faire Orlando November 9-10, 2024. As a marquee attraction of the largest Maker Faire in the Southeast US it’s an experience not to be missed.
In 2024 we've increased capacity giving even more builders the chance to compete.
New class for 2024: Ant Rookie has been replaced with "Gladiator", aka Vipers and Sportsman. In this class Viper kits (spinners included) are allowed from stock to modified as well as any sportsman (non spinner) antweights. The goal of the class is to give these new builders and new sportsman designs a place to fine tune the bot before advancing to the Ant Pro class. *non spinner applies to both traditional spinners as well as any variants such as saws, drills etc.
New Pit Competition for 2024: Maker Faire is about sharing your passions with others welcoming them to join all the fun. The pits are adjacent to spectator areas where interested attendees learn and check things out. Get creative, make it look cool, make it informative. Showcase your creation with pictures, posters and schematics that will engage attendees and competitors alike. Robot Ruckus organizers will come up with equally creative prizes for the top 3 teams to reward your efforts in sharing the hobby with attendees.
Sponors: Robot Ruckus would not be possible without support from these fine organizations.

Volunteers: Yes, please!! Maker Faire Orlando and Robot Ruckus are community events run 100% by volunteers. Anyone who has time to give is welcome to help. There are roles for everyone, robot knowledge is not required. We need as many volunteers as possible to keep the event running. And remember, even a 4 hour shift grants you free entry to Maker Faire so why not get a behind the scenes experience and free entry!! Reach out to contact@robotruckus.org for details.
