Pit Space: $30

2-Day Maker Faire Ticket: $20 until Sept. 24th
One pit space will be half of a roughly 2 ft by 8 ft table with a single chair and access to power included.
If you don’t get your bot completed in time but still want to compete, I will have some rental bots available for an additional $40 per day. Please email me to reserve one, if needed. Trust me, it’s worth it.
Please Paypal: IanMcMahon.USA (at) gmail.com to reserve your pit space(s) and event tickets.
Tournament Structure:
There will be a separate tournament for each day. Tournaments will probably be round-robin, but may be double elimination if enough bots come. My goal is to have 40 matches in a day.
Prizes:
Awards for each day and overall points. There will be a bin of prizes/parts to allow people to choose prizes. There will also be a raffle after awards on Sunday to give everyone the chance of winning a prize.
Arena:
4 ft x 4 ft plywood-floored arena with a corner pit protected by a low wall. Audience protected by 3/16” polycarbonate panels.
Other notes:
We will all be on a single outlet. If you have them, I would recommend bringing an extension cord and power strip. Please be considerate about the amount of power you draw. No heatguns. If you could power your pit off of battery, I would appreciate that.
Parking at George R Brown is typically around $10-15 per day. There is a lot underneath Discovery Green.
Proceeds go towards a Beetle arena for Houston and/or hosting future events
