TNRL 2024 Championships

Event Description

• Tables and chairs will be provided, but bring extension cords if needed. Doors will be open at 8:00 am, drivers meeting at 9 am, competition will start at 9:30 Central time.
• Please refer to SPARC Rules, if you have questions about rules or reach out to Jason Rogers at Backwoods Combat Robotics
• We will be using a 6x6x4 arena made from 1/2in polycarbonate and additional ½ in x12in  poly toe board with seamless steel floor for all classes, with negative pressure and external ventaliation. Unlimited magnets are allowed.
• We do plan to have a food truck on site for lunch, but coolers for food and drinks are welcomed.
• We are setting up registration as a waitlist so that we can make sure to have representation from both groups. 
  • We will have 16 ants- invite only based on who scored top 4 in a qualifying TNRL event, 16 beetles, and 16 plastics
  • Invited will be sent via email to the ants who have qualified. Please respond to the email to confirm if you will be able to attend.  If you can not attend we will go down the list to the next person who has qualified. There will not be a sign up option listed for ants.
• Henry Horton State Park is about 10 minutes south and has hotels and cabins available if you need a place to stay.   They have a campground as well. Their online registration often shows they are booked, but most times if you call they have availablity.   If you have a camper and want to stay here, please let Jason or Jenna Rogers know ahead of time. 
• We will be running a swiss style competition with four rounds for this event. This will guarantee that everyone gets to compete four times. We will then take the top bots and do a single elimination from there. 
• Judges will score on two categories, damage and engagement. I have included a link with more details.
