CROK at Tinkerfest

Event Description

Combat Robots of Oklahoma is hosting our second event, this time at Tinkerfest which is put on by the Science Museum Oklahoma. Tinkerfest is a big venue with interactive exhibits going on all day throughout the museum. If you are registering an Antweight and have a Beetleweight or Fairyweight bot also, please bring it! We want to show off your bots to the attendees of Tinkerfest and should have time for some exhibition matches throughout the day. If we have enough beetles we may run a round robin or mini tournament. We will have a second arena for Fairyweights but will not be able to hold a tournament for them. This arena will be used for the audience to drive demo bots in only. If you have a low KE Fairy and don't mind the audience driving it, we could use some extra demo bots! Register only the Fairy bots that you want to put up as a demo bot. The main goal of this event is get people interested in the hobby in this area, so the more bots we can showoff in the different weight classes the better. Location: Tinkerfest Science Museum Oklahoma 2020 Remington Place Oklahoma City, OK 73111 Time: September 28th. – This is a one day event. Setup will start at 7am, we must be ready to start by 9am. Tables and chairs will be provided. There is no cost to enter the museum. All weapons and sharp edges must have safety guards. No flame weapons. No gas-powered robots. You must use a LiPo bag while charging. Prizes: Custom trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. Custom pogs for every win.
