GENERAL INFO: Team Dreadfully Wicked is BACK hosting a NEW event! Welcome to RFRF!!!.... Raymour Flanigan Robot Fight '19! This 3 pound beetleweight event will take place at the Raymour Flanigan Furniture and Mattress Store in Wilkes-Barre, PA! This is a fundraiser for Bloomsburg High School Robotics, the school DWR's Jeremy graduated from! Visit the event website at http://rfrf.webs.com to view all the details.Trophies and prizes for the semi finalists, finalist, and champion! RULES PROCEDURES: RFRF uses a modified SPARC ruleset. Each team is allowed a maximum of 2 robots. Each driver is only allowed to drive one robot. Active weapons are encouraged. Limit of 2 of each of type of "kit robot"... (I.E. maximum of 2 wetas, 2 trilobites, 2 D2 kits, etc.). At the discretion and judgement of EO Jeremy Campbell, If more than 2 of one type of kit robot register, only the 2 robots that are most customized/modified and unique will be kept, and the remaining will be dropped. The Bracket will be determined by a committee made up of drivers who are not part of the bracket. The tournament format can be found on our website. Please read and understand it before the event! DIRECTIONS: The Raymour Flanigan Furniture Store is off I-81 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Address for GPS is 53 Spring St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. The arena will be setup inside the store entrance. The pit area will be closed off from the general public and inside the store's main warehouse. We will provide tables, but please bring your own folding chairs, extension cords, and power strips as needed. SCHEDULE: 9:00am: Doors open, safety/check-in begins 10:30am: Mandatory Drivers Meeting 11:00am: Qualifier Round 12:00pm: Last Chance Qualifier Rumble(s) 1:00pm: Round of 8 1:30pm: Final 4 2:00pm: The Final Fight Awards Presentation and BIG Check presentation to BHS Robotics immediately after The Final. Please stick around afterward if possible to help clean up and take down the arena! FEES: $50 per robot. Fees will be collected at the event check-in table. Cash or check. Please do not send payment before the event. Personal checks should be made out to "Bloomsburg High School Engineering Program". FOOD: There are many fast food and take-out restaurants within a short drive from the venue. ARENA: The Bot Blast Arena... 10.5 ft x 10.5 ft square, 6 ft tall, steel framed with 3/8" thick polycarbonate walls and roof. Steel bumpers. Wood floor. No pits/push-outs/hazards. EVENT WAIVER: The pit area is closed off from the general public. Registered builders who enter the pit area must sign a release of liability. Everyone entering the pit area must sign one when your team arrives at the check-in table. No need to mail anything before the event. All competitors or crew members under age 18 also must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian at the event.
