Event Description

Battle Beach is proud to participate in the 2019 Central Florida Scouting Jamboree (CFLSJ) this upcoming December 6-7 at Osceola Heritage Park. This unique event is designed for all of you and your families to have an unparalleled experience. You will be able to participate in activities such as inflatables, fireworks and a concert Saturday night, interactive exhibits, hands-on opportunities to experience different potential career fields, and more.

Event Logistics -
Check in anytime Friday and then enjoy an evening in Orlando. Competition is Saturday only. Any Saturday check-in, if available, will be severely limited and assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. You must apply for Saturday check-in at least one week before the event. Event begins Saturday morning at 10am and we won't have time to check-in very many the morning of the event.

Competition logistics -
We will be running the combat event 30 minutes every hour from 10am until 5pm and then we'll have non-stop fighting from 7pm to 10pm on Saturday night for the grand finale, so we're going to need to work through the brackets efficiently. Have spare batteries.

Bring a LiPo bag (and use it) for charging your batteries.

We will be using the standard SPARC tournament procedures, match rules, judging guidelines, and robot construction specifications.

The arena may contain a pit and may contain modular arena hazards.

We stayed at the Flamingo Waterpark last time and it was pretty fun. The room rates are very low and the water park is very nice. There is a restaurant and several bars on site, but they close very early. It is a water park so the rooms are a little musty smelling but if you're from Florida a you're probably used to that :-)

We have secured a group rate at the Flamingo Waterpark Resort!
Arriving and departing between December 5-10th, 2019 the Battle Beach group rate for Standard Room with Two Queen Beds is $45.00 plus taxes per room per night. A Resort Fee of $15.00 per night is optional. The Resort fee includes access to the Waterpark for up to 4 people per room.
Refundable deposit/hold on card of $100.00 is required at check in.
