Event Description
Event DetailsName: Western Allied Robotics NW Hobby Expo 2008
Location: Monroe County Fairgrounds (Near Seattle)
http://www.nwmodelhobbyexpo.com/Directions.html
Date: Feburary 9th 2008
Event Time: 11:30noon - 6:00pm
Safety Inspection: 9:00am-11:00am
If a lot of robots register, we may start safety and fights earlier.
Class: 1, 3, 12, and 30* pound robots
*We will not allow 30lb spinning-weapon robots at this time. This decision was made because of our current arena. We hope to allow 30lb spinning-weapon robots at a future competition. All other 30lb robots are allowed as long as they meet general RFL rules.
Format: Double Elimination or Round Robin (RFL Rules) No ICE or open flames
Entry Fee: $40 for first 30lb or 12lb robot. $25 for first 3lb or 1lb robot. Additional robots are half price. Special entry fee considerations for builders who are under 18.
Arena: 12x12 with 18"x18" pit in one corner surrounded by a 2" high wall making it very difficult to accidently drive into it.
