Event Description
Carolina Combat Robots presents "Clash of the Bots 2024" This event will be held at The Schiele Museum of Natural History in Gastonia NC ( http://www.schielemuseum.org/ ) This will be a Bug event, for full combat up to 3 pounds fighting in an 8 x 8 arena, and a Bot Hockey competition which will be using a 12 ft. X 20 ft. arena for hockey bots up to 15 lbs. For Bot Hockey you can register as a team of 3 bots, or individuals that will be teamed up with other individuals to create teams. Schools bot hockey teams are encouraged to compete.
There will be other robotic activities at the Museum during the event, so 900 MHz, 2.4GHz, or spectrum radios are required. Any other frequency must have prior approval.
Modified double elimination (Single final fight) and SPARC rules apply.
- 15lb Bot Hockey $5 per Bot Register as a team (a team would be 3) or as individuals to make up teams.

Check-in and safety inspections: Friday afternoon 4-7pm and Saturday 7-8:30am
Builders’ meeting: 8:30am
Competition: 9am-6pm (Museum Hours may be different)
Fees: (includes 2 pit passes per robot)

Release form and payment due Midnight June 10th 2024. If Registration is full then anyone not paid and paperwork not received may be dropped to make room for others on the wait list.

Some important rules:
- No flame weapons.
- No gas-powered robots.
- If you are using LiPo’s, you must have LiPo bags. All Lipo batterys must be in a LiPo bag while charging.
- Bring your own power strips.
A weapon lock is required for all weapons.
- A switch and power light is required. A jumper is acceptable in place of a switch as long as it can be easily and quickly connected and disconnected.
