Event Description
Welcome to our premiere event for 2024! This event will be held outside SCAR HQ in Pomona, California. Come join us for a casual laid back event to kick off 2024!
We welcome competitors of all ages and expertise. Those interested in competing please refer to http://sparc.tools for Judging, Guidelines, Procedures and Robot construction rules.
We have the following amendments to the SPARC ruleset (For more information see the SCAR discord) :

Weapon tip speed is limited to 250mph.

No use of fire flame weapons
Arenas: 3 Minute Matches

Plastic Ants: SCAR A-Frame Arena, metal floor, no pit. Floor will be painted with rustoleum with SCAR skidtex additive.

Antweights: Updated BattleHEX (Definitely new polycarbonate and 4 foot high walls and new roof. The plan is to have the new steel insert welded in time for the event.)
Note: SCAR is charging a registration fee in 2024 at $10 per robot ! Also note, this registration fee is refundable at the event! Show up, and successfully complete safety, and you get your registration fee back. We have gotten to the point of 20% no shows at the event, which is impacting folks who don't get to register since the event is full. We want you to register, show up, and fight with your robot! We also want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to compete.
We are always looking for a few volunteers if any one is interested in the following positions: Judging * Bot Runners * Build/Break Down * Announcer for Fairy /Plastic Arena
