Event Description
WRC is back! This time it's our biggest event yet to host the final championship of the highly competitive 2022 MRCA league. The MRCA finals are invite only, but an open beetleweight tournament will run alongside it for anyone who wants to attend.
Event details:
The time slot for spectators is 9:30am-5:00pm. Before this time you will need to get a wristband and sign the WRC release form. If you're a minor, a parent or guardian will need to sign.
8:00am-9:30am - Setup and check-in
9:30am-9:45am - Driver’s meeting and bracket shuffle for beetles
9:45am-10:00am - Crowd addressal and fight queuing
10:00am-5:00pm - Tournament
5:00pm-7:00pm - Awards and event teardown (help is greatly appreciated)
The event is being held in the gym (lower building) at Crosspoint Community Church in Oconomowoc, WI. Tables and chairs are provided. Extension cords (not just power strips) are highly recommended.
The concession stand will be back. It worked very well last time with family and friends providing amazing food.
Most people reading this will be competitors or people dragged along with competitors, so you'll get a special wristband and get in free. People just spectating will be given a different wristband and be subject to a $5 admission fee. (5yrs old and under are free.)
Competition details:
Seriously, go read the MRCA rules. If you've made it this far, you should know them. The beetles also use these rules, but replace anything about weight with a 3lb limit rather than a 1lb limit.

Arena: Wood floor, steel kickplates, and a lipped pushout so a deliberate push is required for a win. 8’ x 6’ x 4’ box.
Open Ant: Double elimination tournament with 2 minute fights. This is invite only.
Entry: $20 (paid by August 26th or your spot will be given to the next ranked robot willing to pay the entry before you)
Challonge:
Beetle: Double elimination tournament with 2 minute fights.
