The Hewitt School’s Robotics Program is a pioneering, all-girls STEM initiative in New York City that began with VEX Robotics and grew to include a thriving combat robotics team. As an all-girls K–12 community, Hewitt provides a supportive space where students gain confidence, take risks, and lead in engineering and innovation. What started as a small VEX team has evolved into a robust robotics pathway where students design, code, and build competitive robots—from precision-engineered VEX machines to durable, battle-ready combat bots. Hewitt teams now compete at city, state, and national levels, earning recognition for creativity, teamwork, and technical excellence. The program cultivates fearless problem-solvers and empowers the next generation of female engineers.
