MakerX Columbus Combat 2020

Event Description

MakerX is an annual festival celebrating creating with technology. It will take place on February 29, 2020 at the Ohio Expo Center (aka State Fairgrounds) in Columbus, OH. The event will follow the Combat Robot rules from the 2020 National Robotics Challenge. (thenrc.org) However, unlike the NRC event this event is open to any age builder. Tournament Structure: The goal of our events are to have fun, learn, and engage spectators. We always structure our events to maximize the opportunities builders have to see their robot(s) running. Classes with 6 or less robots will fight round robin. Classes with more than 6 robots will either be split into round robin pools or will fight an initial "seeding" match before being placed into a double elimination bracket. Event Hours: MakerX is open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm Participant Passes: Each robot will receive 2 passes.
