Event Description
Knights Out Sumo Joust! This Sumo robot event is held at the Knights Out Pub and Eatery near UCF in Orlando Florida. Come compete with your mini sumo bot and push other bots out of the ring!
November 16th, 11-3pm at Knights Out Pub and Eatery at 3402 Technological Ave #202, Orlando, FL 32817 (map) Check-in begins at 11, with the matches starting at 12pm.
In Mini Sumo robot competition, teams compete with 500g or less robots on a ring (dohyo), in an effort to find and push their opponent out. The robots are autonomous, controlled by microcontroller and sensors.
The event will be the Mini Sumo size (10cmx10cm footprint, 500g weight limit, 77cm dohyo). Please see the full ruleset.

There is now a Novice (first time participating class) Mini Sumo as the regular class Mini Sumo. If you have completed before, the regular class it appropriate. We will combine the two classes if a round robin structure is used (i.e. both classes are too small for a double elimiation bracket.)
Note - we will have a registration session leading up to the start at noon. During that time, your team will need to demonstrate the following:
Size of the bot - the bot must fit within the 10cm x 10cm footprint area
Weight of the bot - the bot must weight at or under 500g
Proper Start - the bot must sit idle for 5 seconds after the start button is pushed
