Robot Fighting is back in So. Cal and even bigger! Sparklecon SMASH features 150g, 1lb, 3lb and 12lb open class PLUS 15lb NRL class! Two Arenas! Come fight at the biggest, loudest, most extreme event in Southern California. The BATTLE OCTOGON is BACK! 8 high walls 80 sq feet of fighting area with NO PITS, NO RING OUTS, NO HAZARDS and NO CORNERS. Bring your 12lb and 15lb bots to fight against the top competitors on the west coast. Bring your 150g, 1lb and 3lb bots to fight in the SACAttack arena with a freshly ground floor. FIGHT ALL DAY! FIGHT ALL NIGHT!
150g, 1lb, 3lb and 12lb run on SPARC rules. SPARC RULES 15lb NRL class run on NRL rules. NRL Rules For the purposes of this event the 12lb open and 15lb NRL will fight seperately until the finals where the top competitors in each class will have the option of facing off against each other. Top competitors will gain points in the international qualifiers in collaboration with KOB international Bot registry.
The venue has a full machine shop on site including access to welding and plasma cutting equipment. Event is co-sponsored by the National Tooling and Machining Association So. Cal Chapter and 23B hackerspace. Also get to have access to one of the premier DIY / Hacker conferences with talks, demos, flames, and HV goodness on site. Sparkelcon also hosts an afterparty from 8PM - 2AM.
