Dragoncon of the North? Cowcon? All I know is Barn battles is back! And still in a barn, how great is that? Come join us on Sat August 31st at the Wyoming County Fair for some crazy 12lb platform sumo. We will be giving away awesome custom plaques and great prizes for the top three in each event. IMPORTANT! I will be sending out passes for the fair to the address you have listed on the database. MAKE SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS CORRECT. I will be sending a number of passes equal to the number of builders on your team that are attending. MAKE SURE YOUR TEAM ATTENDANCE IS CORRECT. And finally, although you can register right up to the date of the competition, I WILL BE SENDING PASSES OUT ON AUG 21. so if you are not registered by then you will have to pay to enter the fair as your punishment. Entering is free with a pass, 10$ without. RULES PROCEDURES: The 12lb platform sumo ruleset can be found HERE DIRECTIONS: The Wyoming County Fairgrounds is just off rt 6. Wyoming County Fairgrounds 9141 US 6, Meshoppen PA 18630 Mile Marker 300 HERE is a map of where to park and where the event will be located on the grounds SCHEDULE: 8:00am: Doors open check-in begins 10:45am: Mandatory meeting 11:00am: Fights Begin **Robots MUST be through safety/weigh-in before 10:45am or they will NOT be able to compete... make sure your robots work and dont be late! No exceptions!** Event should be finished by 7pm Rumbles will be held just before the finals (finalists are not permitted to compete in the rumble) Awards Presentation immediately after the finals Please stick around afterward if possible to help clean up and take down the arena. FEES: $25 per robot without active weapons, $15 for robots with active weapons.. Fees will be collected at the event check-in table. Cash or check. Please do not send payment before the event. ARENA: 12lb approximately 12x16 of stage risers, deal with it. EVENT WAIVER: The pit area is closed off from the general public. Registered builders who enter the pit area must sign a release of liability. Everyone entering the pit area must sign one when your team arrives at the check-in table. All competitors or crew members under age 18 also must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. See you at the Fair!
