We're hoping that you'll be able to pull up and drop stuff off near the arena, but then will have to park in the parking garage.
Event is from 10am to 5pm. We are looking to start on time to ensure we get through the bracket. PLEASE make sure you're there by 930. We will be pushing the brackets to make sure we finish since there are CASH MONIES prizes!!
BRING SAFETY GLASSES! You NEED to wear SAFETY GLASSES!!!
One last thing:
1s and 3s will have a registration fee of $15 and 150s will be $10!!!
Come and fight at the Miami Maker Faire! This event is for fairies, ants and beetles. THERE WILL BE PRIZES!!! CASH MONEY!!! $$$$$$!!!!! First and Second place in each weight class will receive upwards of $100 CA$H MONAYYYYY!!!!
The Arena will be 6' x 6' with plywood floors and 2x4 bumpers. We *may* cut a dropout in the floor, depending on interest. Each registered robot will get half a table, up to 1 table per team (unless you're a giant team). Some chairs will be provided, but if you want a guaranteed booty rest, bring your own folding chair. We are working on power to the pit tables, but recommend each team bring an extension cord and/or power strip if possible. BRING SAFETY GLASSES!!! Maker Faire is pretty serious about safety.
We will be running a complete double-elimination bracket for both antweight and beetleweight classes. Entrance to the Miami Maker Faire is included with robot registration.
