Battle for Lynchburg

Event Description

This is the first event for Hill City Robot Combat@Vector Space. The event will be hosted at Vector Space, Lynchburg's premier makerspace. The venue address is:

It is located at the corner of 5th and Court street. We will be running an open air platform until we have raised enough funds to complete our proper steel and polycarbonate arena enclosure.

Entry is $30 per bot, double elimination with rumbles. Prize pool based on entries, 50% of your entry fee will contribute toward our future steel and polycarbonate arena upgrade.

Antweights and plastic antweights will be seeded into the same bracket - the plastic ant class is available for registration for convenience purposes only (so you don't have to change your bot's classification here on BuildersDB).

The venue does not offer concessions, however, there is a restaurant/store next door, and you will be a few blocks from some great downtown Lynchburg restaurants.

Please note that if the close by parking and street parking are full, you will be able to stop curbside at our loading door to drop off your equipment before you park at the public lot one block away.

Lodging:

The closest hotel to the venue is the Holiday Inn Lynchburg on Main St., just about a block or two from Vector Space. However, any hotel in Lynchburg is going to be within a 15-20 minute drive of Vector Space, so feel free to shop around.
