Event Description
Get ready for an exciting day of engineering, strategy, and high-energy robot battles at the YLW Combat Robotics Competition! Hosted in Kelowna, British Columbia, this event brings together students, hobbyists, and robotics enthusiasts to compete in our arena!
We will feature three weight classes:
• 1 lb Masters
• 1 lb Rookies
• Fairyweights
Each category will be limited to 8 robots, ensuring competitive matchups and a full tournament experience. The competition format will be a double-elimination tournament, giving every team a second chance to fight their way back to the finals.
The registration fee is $20 per robot. This fee helps cover venue costs, arena setup, and event logistics.
All participants are required to follow SPARC (Standardized Procedures for the Advancement of Robotic Combat) rules and must be familiar with general combat robotics safety procedures. Safety is our highest priority. Robots that do not meet safety or compliance standards may be disqualified. Bonus weight allowances apply for shuffler-type robots according to SPARC guidelines.
Please note that parking is not included in the event registration ($10/day). Participants and attendees should plan accordingly.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at the venue throughout the event.
After registration, competitors will receive additional event details, schedules, check-in instructions, and safety documentation via email.
Whether you are competing, supporting a team, or just interested in the world of combat robotics, we invite you to join us for an engaging and action-packed experience.
We look forward to seeing you in the arena!
