Weapons need a weapon safety lock. Lipo Batteries need to managed and stored properly. The arena will be located in the main shop area with access to a bay door in the event of a lipo fire.
Requirements for all attendees:
- Please do not attend if you are experiencing COVID symptoms or have reason to believe you are infected.
- This will be a builders only event. There will not be enough room for spectators.
Midsouth Maker's Precautions:
- You will need to sign a waiver for each person on your team (minors included) https://rfid.midsouthmakers.org/sign-waiver
- The shop space will not be available without concent of a Midsouth Makers board member.
- More details as we get closer to the event.
Tournament Rules
- Following SPARC general rules
- Printed Ants: Weapons and Chassis must be 3D printed of any material except metal. For example you will not be permitted to use a weapon that is milled out of a solid block of ABS.
- NOTE: there will be no unstick, and the arena walls drop below the floor level.
- The Judges decision is final and not negotiable.
- Tournament structure Anty Up!! You will be supplied with 3 chips per bot when you arrive. Chips will be color coded for weightclass, and there will be the option for puchasing additional chips (one at a time) for a $1 donation to the Midsouth Makers. Whoever has the most chips at the end will be the winner in each weightclass. If there are ties after the tiebreaker rules have been settled, a one match play-off will be used to determine final placing.
Tiebraker rules
- Whoever has the most chips at the end of the tournament
- If builders have an equal number of chips, placeing will be decided on the amount of matches fought
- Each builder must compete in at least 2 matches to qualify for the podium
