Registration Fees and Tickets:
Each bot will have a $30 registration fee. Each bot registered will come with two competitor tickets. Additional tickets will be $5 each. Tickets can be paid in cash or via Venmo or PayPal using the presented QR code. CTK students will have free entry.
Rules:
We will be following standard SPARC rules for robot combat. PLA+ will be allowed and expected for Plastic Ants. No flame weapons allowed in either class. No cleats or magnets. Matches will be 2 minutes. Custom rules include matches being paused to check for a show of motion. When called for, opponents must stop and the bot in question must be able to reach the opposite side of the arena within 10 seconds without making contact with their opponent (that will move out of their path ahead of time) or the other two corners or walls of the arena. Unsticks will be allowed for bots that stick or prop themselves on the arena. A mutual collision will get an unstick but a bot that is set or thrown into a stick by it's opponent will not be unstuck. Only 1 unstick per bot, per match.
Arena:
1/4 in. polycarbonate walls inset into aluminum extrusion framing with a 3/4 in plywood floor and 2x4 inset wood bumpers. Arena is 4ft W, 4ft L, 2ft Tall.
Trophies:
Winners of each class will have their names added to The DropKick Cup.
Winners of 1-3rd for each class will receive custom Raven Rumble medals.
Pit Area Rules:
K-12 pits are not to be entered by non student competitors or coaches. Extension chords and tables will be provided but chairs will not be (we suggest you bring additional tables, chairs, and extension chords to be as comfortable as possible). Soldering, grinding, drilling, and cutting must only be done in designated areas with appropriate supervision. If you have a solding air filter you would like to bring, they are greatly appreciated.
