Event Description
This is a 150 gram robot fighting event and backyard party. Al Sanchez will be smoking meat for dinner. There is an entry fee of $5/person to cover barbecue, sides and soda. If you would like a special side dish, bring it. Email me if you are coming with a headcount so we know how much food to buy.
Robot fights will start around 2 PM and end around 5 PM. If you are competing, show up early enough to be weighed in and ready to go at 1:45. If you want to borrow a bot, let me know. It's free. Just show up before 1:30 to learn to drive before the tournament.
Barbecue will probably be mostly chicken with maybe sausage and ribs depending on what's cheap. You are allowed to drink, but no alcohol if driving/handling spinners until after you are done driving/handling spinners. There is a commercial playground in my backyard that is missing some safety rails and a swingset that has seen better days.
If it is predicted to rain more than 1/2" between Noon and 6 PM, I'll postpone to the 23rd. The pits will be the backyard, so rain matters. The earliest that you are allowed to show up is 9 AM. I'm going to bed at 10 PM.
Please don't block my neighbor's driveways. Enter through the gate between the house and garage.
