Scuffle in the Swamp at the University of Florida

Gator Robotics is proud to present:

Scuffle in the Swamp at the Universtiy of Florida

When: April 9th, 2022

Where: 527 Gale Lemerand Dr, Gainesville, FL

Weight classes: 1lb, 3lb, plastic 1lb

• This will be an insect weight combat robotics tournament hosted in the brand new Herbert Wertheim Laboratory For Engineering Excellence. The university has been kind enough to let us use this amazing venue for our event and it should not dissapoint! There will be lots of space for pits and plenty of electrical outlets. 
• This will be an all day event on Saturday April 9th. Weigh ins will begin at 8am and will go to 10am. Fights start at 10am and should go to about 6pm.
• We will be limiting signups to 16 robots per weightclass to ensure we stay on schedule.
• We will be using our brand new hexagon arena for this event. This arena is about 8ft x 8ft x 4ft, with 1/4" polycarbonate walls for each panel. 
• We will attempt to stream this event live, check our instagram @gator_battlebots for any updates to the stream. 
• Parking is free on weekends so you may park in the many spaces that are close to the building. 
• This event is open to spectators but there will be very limited spectator seating.
• All lipo batteries must be charged in a lipo safe bag or outside at the battery charging station. 
• This event will follow the SPARC ruleset.
• Signups are for antweight, beetleweight, and plastic antweight robots are all free.
