Competition Description:

The Durham NC Museum of Life and Science ( http://www.ncmls.org/ )presents the 3rd annual Robot Rumble. In 2009 CCR, Team Rolling Thunder, and Team Moon, had displays, did demos and had sumo for the kids. It was a huge success. But for 2010 the Museum has decided to not allow Lipo batteries on the Museum property. Due to this new development, we will not be having the Bug event, but will go ahead with the Bot Hockey event. We will be showing off combat Robots and showing videos which will provide lots of exposure for the sport. We will have a 12 ft. X 20 ft. Robot Hockey arena for hockey bots up to 15 lbs. You can register as a team of 3 bots, or individuals that will be teamed up with other individuals to create teams. We would love to have school hockey teams (Teams of 3 bots) competing.
